Technologies offer reduced waste, simplified operation and higher throughput in glass bonding and sealing applications   Graco Inc. (NYSE:GGG), a world leader in fluid handling products and systems, announces that it will highlight its Therm-O-Flow® Bulk Hot Melt System and ExactaBlend™ Advanced Glazing Proportioner (AGP), at GlassBuild America 2015.

The Therm-O-Flow systems are an ideal fit for both primary and secondary sealing applications in the glass industry, while the ExactaBlend AGP is ideal for cutting costs while improving accuracy in glass bonding and sealing applications. GlassBuild America 2015 will take place September 16-18, 2015, in Atlanta, Georgia. Graco experts will be on hand in Booth #34 at the expo to demonstrate the benefits of these innovative technologies.

With material throughput capability 200 percent greater than the leading competitor, Therm-O-Flow systems have been designed to improve process efficiency and production capacity while reducing energy costs and supporting environmental initiatives. The Therm-O-Flow 200 is available in configurations specially tailored to the glass and window industry for applying both primary and secondary seal materials. Higher melt and flow rates directly improve productivity in these applications, and precision temperature controls ensure consistent processes.

Adjustable low/empty level sensors are standard on every Therm-O-Flow, to help you prevent running out of material unexpectedly. Other features include an integrated drum air blow-off that reduces downtime by facilitating quick, easy drum changes. Easy-to-use, graphic-based control screens reduce training time, and USB data downloads of system events allow for process monitoring and control.

Also being showcased at the expo is the ExactaBlend AGP, which features leading-edge technology and addresses many of the challenges unique to the glass industry. Bonding and sealing applications, specifically for curtain wall and insulating glass, require that adhesives and sealants be accurately mixed from multiple components, and that this accurate mixture be dispensed on-ratio. While competing technology relies upon mechanically linked pumps or gear pumps without real-time ratio monitoring to mix materials, the ExactaBlend AGP monitors material ratios constantly. Additionally, the ExactaBlend AGP system automatically shuts down if off-ratio conditions do occur, preventing off-ratio material from being dispensed and ensuring consistent high-quality products, saving customers time and money.

The ExactaBlend AGP reduces waste during material purges, which can add up to significant cost savings on your bottom line. The ExactaBlend AGP also offers improved ease of operation, as operators can quickly and easily change a system’s mix ratio, verify calibration, and review material consumption information easily, with the push of a button.
