The Glass Performance Days (GPD) organizing committee has announced an extension of the abstract submission deadline to November 17, 2024, for the upcoming 2025 edition of the conference.

This decision comes in response to the numerous requests received from participants who wish to contribute their knowledge and innovations.

The committee expressed gratitude to everyone who has already submitted their abstracts and is excited about the diverse range of submissions received so far. The extended deadline provides an additional opportunity for individuals to showcase their groundbreaking work at GPD 2025.

Participants are encouraged to review the conference topics, align their abstracts with the most suitable sessions, and submit their contributions. This is a valuable chance to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of glass.

Notification of abstract acceptance: January 15, 2025 

Paper deadline: March 15, 2025 

Presentation deadline: May 30, 2025

What makes a good abstract? 

  • Appropriate title: The title of your abstract should cover the main topic of your paper and give a clear idea about the content. It should be specific without being too lengthy (max. 100 characters). 
  • Concise: Your abstract should be concise and to the point, clearly conveying the main message and staying within the 300-word limit. 
  • Clear language: Your abstract should be easy to read, using clear language and following a logical structure. 
  • Relevant: Your abstract should be relevant to the conference and the international glass community. This is ideally expressed by including a key sentence that explains the importance and novelty of your contribution. 
  • Free of advertisement: Your abstract should be free of advertisement, so without commercial promotion. 

Program Committee 2025 

The Program Committee is composed of international glass experts from industry, design, engineering and academia. Their main task is to assess the incoming author contributions and ensure a balanced and appealing conference program.
