Glass Works Show Is A Reflection Of Artist's Mediterranean Travels

Holiday art sales abound this year, as always, offering local art lovers a perfect opportunity to support Northeast Ohio's flourishing scene.

But sales aren't all that's going on this month.

New exhibitions continue right through the usual festivities, presenting much-needed respites from holiday mania.

"Trial by Fire: Meditations on Beauty" features works in cast, blown and painted glass by area artist Rene Culler. The show goes on view today at the Beck Center for the Arts, 17801 Detroit Ave. in Lakewood, where it will be up through Friday, Jan. 28. An opening reception will be held for the artist from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8.
