Explosion in a glass factory kills one

One worker was killed and another seriously injured when unspecified chemicals exploded in a glass factory in a northern Czech town, Czech radio reported Wednesday.The radio said the explosion occurred shortly before noon in a glass factory in Zelezny Brod, 100 kilometers (62 miles) north of Prague.

It was not immediately known what caused the accident.

A 59-year-old man died in the blast and another worker was rushed to hospital with serious burns over 52 percent of his body.

Police were investigating the accident, the radio said.
