Eastman Demonstrates its Automotive Films on a Car in its Booth at the Autoesporte Autoshow

​​LLumar ® films will be applied to a vehicle in the company´s booth at the event to demonstrate how the films help reduce heat, protect paintwork and help with security and anti-vandalism.

Eastman - the American specialty chemicals company - will give the public a chance to see its LLumar® product line up close with its first participation in the AutoEsporte AutoShow.These films are applied to glass for solar heat control, paint protection and security / anti-vandalism and will be applied to the vehicle by technicians on the Eastman booth during the fair. LLumar® products include films for both automotive and architectural use but due to the nature of the event only the automotive films will be on show.

The LLumar® products on display are the line´s best-sellers, according to Rodrigo Andrade, Technical Marketing for Latin America. Featured products include the solar control film, which gives protection from ultraviolet (UV) and infrared rays, and AIRBLUE® 80, which is used on windscreens.

The protection they give goes beyond just reducing sun glare: they help prevent damage to the interior of the vehicle by reducing heat input and cooling the interior, which also means a saving on air-conditioning and improving fuel efficiency. The window films also protect human skin from harmful solar rays and are recommended by The Skin Cancer Foundation. All this is possible without a reduction in driver visibility, as products like AIRBLUE® are virtually transparent and have low reflectivity, which helps significantly with night driving.

Another Eastman highlight at the event is the LLumar® Paint Protection Film (PPF), which helps protect the manufacturer´s original paint from scratches caused by stones, etc., and abrasion and general wear, and helps reduce the need for retouching or repainting.

The film is transparent, flexible and is cut to the exact size required using LLumar PrecisionCut™ technology, which accesses a vehicle dimension database which is updated fortnightly with new data by vehicle manufacturers. Plus, the product is easy to maintain. Just clean, wash and wax the vehicle in the traditional way, while the durable and virtually invisible film ensures continued protection without affecting the finish of the original paintwork.

The third LLumar® product on display is the company´s security / anti-vandalism film. A thick polyester film ensures protection against damage to vehicle windows from stone chips and other objects, while maintaining the original transparency and condition of the manufacturer´s windows.
