CMO Opens LCD Panel Maintenance Center in US

Chi Mei Optoelectronics (CMO) today officially opened its LCD panel maintenance center in San Diego – its second global center – and the panel maker plans to establish similar centers in China and Japan in the future, according to the company.





The US center can support maintenance services for 5,000 large-size TFT LCD panels per month. Built on a 18,000-hectare parcel of land, the center will cover maintenance service for the North America market.



Officials from the center noted that this center could speed up product delivery schedule as well as strengthen the company's competitiveness in the region.



In addition to the new US-based LCD panel maintenance center, CMO has a center in Germany and the panel maker plans to establish similar centers in China and Japan in the future.
