Bystronic announces management change

Date: 7 March 2002

Karl Lenhardt has resigned his responsibilities as managing director of Lenhardt Maschinenbau GmbH in Neuhausen-Hamberg (Germany), a division of the Bystronic Group.

"I feel pride in being responsible for building an enterprise that is today regarded as a very successful and well structured medium sized machine manufacturer with a motivated team of loyal and highly qualified employees," explained Lenhardt. "I feel it is my responsibility to hand over the reins to a younger generation,"

Volker Abt was named as Lenhardt's successor. For the last four years, Abt was managing director at Schuler Hydroforming, a sister company of Schuler AG (presses) in Göppingen.
