African Glass announces significant expansion

African Glass (Nigeria) Ltd today announced the planned expansion of its glass operations in Nigeria. The sole producer of opaque glass in Nigeria intends to set up a state of the art float glass plant.    The plant will have a capacity of 500 tonnes per day.

The company and its European consultant have completed a market study in the last six months. The company will locate this new plant in Ogun State. The state of the art technology will be provided by a European supplier; negotiations are at the final stage.
