I was trying to find out what the average mark-up for windshield replacment.

Instead of using wooden panels or ballustrades/ spindles for a decked area I would like to use glass square or rectangle panels supported between posts. What do I need to consider to achieve this? Are there companies out there who can provide this product? The effect I am after is similar to that you see on designer balconies of modern apartments etc.

When did the residential/commercial double-pane insulated glass manufacturing processes convert from the use of acid-cure silicon to neutral-cure silicon, as the secondary seal around the perimeter of the assembly?

Tempered glass can collect microfines from dirty rollers when it passes through the lehr. When cool these become permanently embedded in the surface. If you drag a penny across a dry surface it sounds like sandpaper. When removing anything with even a plastic scraper the microfines are dislodged and dragged, resulting in billions of very fine scratches. These defective surfaces can be very problematic. I was wondering if any window manufacturers have had any experience with them?

We use 1/4" tempered glass as a shelving material, and I needed a difinitive resource for span/load tolerances. Does anyone know where I can find a glass shelf's load rating based on it's thickness and span? Thanks. Mark.

I owne a glass shop in an up scale part of town. I enjoy my business. My problem is software for my office and heavy glass drawings. I am not real happy with crlaurence price. I sell there hardware and I believe my shop is about to explode. The software saves me time therefor saveing me money. I thought that there might be a better rate since I use there software.
