Does anyone know of any industry standards for Heat Soak Tests for nickel sulphide inclusions in toughend glass?
I am particularly interested in UK, European and US industry standards for both archetectural glass and glass destined for aerospace industry, ie. aeroplane cockpit window use.
We may soon have to dispose of approx 2500m2 of Georgian Wired glazing panells from an old roof. We wondered what the best way to dispose of this would be and can it be re-cycled and used in any other manufacturing process.

Hi there, I'm on a years work experience as part of my Industrial Design course at a company that designs and manufactures bespoke rooflights in the UK. We are currently looking at providing a rooflight with photovoltaic glass which would promote a greener product. Can anyone shed any light on this subject? I have several cases where the inside pane has cracked months after installation. I'm told this is due to thermal stresses and the only way to prevent this occuring is to use toughened glass. If anyone knows alot about this subject I would be interested to find out more.
