Vetrotech Saint-Gobain Fires Up a New Production Line

On April 3, Vetrotech Saint-Gobain opened its first fire resistant glass production line in India. It is situated on the site of Saint-Gobain Glass India’s World Glass Complex in Chennai.

This line is an addition to several existing lines in Europe, North America and Asia. The state of the art line was inaugurated by Jean-Pierre Floris, President of Saint-Gobain Glass.

The facility produces the Contraflam line of interlayered tempered fire resistant safety glass. Vetrotech Saint-Gobain, the world leader in fire resistant glazing, and Saint-Gobain Glass India, the leader in architectural glass in India, have joined forces to provide the local building market with one of the highest performing fire resistant glazing products.
