Unusual movements in the trading of the shares comprising the capital of Vitro S.A.B. de C.V.

Vitro, S.A.B. de C.V. (BMV: VITROA), hereinafter “Vitro” or the “Company”, the leading glass producer in Mexico, reports that Ms.

María Margarita Garza Sada de Fernández, mother of our Director Mr. Álvaro Fernández Garza, has acquired a total of approximately 51 million shares up to date, including a small share of Mr. Fernández, which represents approximately 10.6% of the share capital of Vitro.  

Also, Vitro was informed again that it is not their intention to have a significant influence on the Company, in addition to the current participation in our Board.

Vitro reiterates its appreciation for the commitment that Mr. Álvaro Fernández has shown with the Company since joining its Board in April 2011.
