GLASSOLUTIONS, the UK’s leading manufacturer, processor, distributor, installer and repairer of glass, is celebrating after being shortlisted for two G17 Awards, the annual glazing industry Oscars.

The company’s shortlisting in the Commercial Project of the Year category illustrates the breadth of high quality services the company provides. GLASSOLUTIONS was named as a finalist for its delivery of an innovative and bespoke solution for London’s One Bedford Avenue development.

The refurbished building combines commercial offices with retail units and features glass units providing natural light on three sides and features a new main entrance and reception area achieving an attractive aesthetic effect using GLASSOLUTIONS’ exclusive VS-1 curtain walling system.

Overcoming logistical constraints, the bespoke sliding track system used to safely install the glass units allowed the project to achieve an accelerated programme.

G17 AwardsGLASSOLUTIONS’ second shortlisting in the Customer Care Initiative of the Year category reflects the significant growth in online spend and volume of orders placed in the Year 2 development of its industry-leading e-commerce app which gives users greater control of their quoting and ordering systems.

The user-friendly e-commerce app developed by GLASSOLUTIONS featuring a catalogue of products with alignment of offline and online tariff structures enables users to have complete control of their glass ordering. It allows users to configure and order products 24/7 from their smartphones, tablets and PCs.

Allowing customers to work smarter by obtaining quotes instantly which enables them to produce quotations for their clients, GLASSOLUTIONS’ e-commerce app has seen a 313% increase in online spend and a 574% increase in the volume of orders placed.

Mike Butterick, GLASSOLUTIONS’ Marketing Director, said: “We’re delighted to have been named as a finalist for two G17 awards – it’s a testament to the hard work of our teams right across the business.

“It is pleasing to receive recognition for one of our high-profile projects where a number of complex challenges were overcome to meet the building’s requirements. Equally, we are also delighted to be shortlisted for our e-commerce app which is proving hugely popular with our customers and is arguably the only app of its kind in the UK supporting a national glass supply service.

“Both of these shortlistings illustrate our dedication to staying at the forefront of the industry in terms of our capability to deliver complex commercial installations and drive for innovation to improve the service offering for our customers.

“Once again the G- Awards shortlists showcase the excellent work that’s going across all areas of the UK’s door and window industry. I’d like to wish all the 2017 finalists the very best of luck on the night.”

GLASSOLUTIONS hopes to repeat its success of previous years at the G-Awards, having most recently won awards in 2016 for Commercial Project of the Year and picking up the Environmental Initiative of the Year Award in 2014.

This year’s winners will be announced at the prestigious G17 Awards Presentation and Gala Dinner which takes place on 17th November at the London Hilton on Park Lane.
