Steklarna Hrastnik receives six awards for innovation!

The award ceremony for the innovators of Zasavje was held on Thursday, 18 June 2015, in the Workers’ Cultural Centre in Trbovlje.

Amidst the tough competition of 20 innovations, Steklarna Hrastnik received a total of six awards – one gold, three silver, and two bronze.   

The assessment criteria included inventiveness (originality and patenting new developments), the achieved and anticipated economic results and sustainability (impact on the system of innovations and environmental aspects). Steklarna Hrastnik received the gold award for its optimisation of the B-furnace – an innovative solution for the continued operation of the furnace in accordance with market demands, the silver awards for the innovative cooling of IS machines, the reconstruction of the transport system, the cooling of hot waste glass, and the automation of monitoring the production volume. The bronze awards were given for innovations for cooling products on the IS machine conveyor belt with fan air and a hand-blown opal glass ceiling lamp, 700 mm in diameter, for LED.

We would like to congratulate the authors and award-winners for their outstanding achievements, their contribution to the development of Steklarna Hrastnik, and the extraordinary passion with which they approach their work and projects.
