Spectus launched its mechanically jointed Vertical Slider six months ago and demand is increasing rapidly.

Carmen Velilla, Brand Manager for Spectus, said: “The market is moving towards higher value products and the Spectus mechanically jointed Vertical Slider is proving incredibly popular among fabricators and installers wanting to harness the opportunities.”

The Spectus Mechanically Jointed Vertical Slider takes the authenticity of the market-leading Spectus Vertical Slider to the next level with full mechanical jointing to the sash and outer frame. Like the standard version, the Mechanically Jointed Vertical Slider has features such as equal sash widths, traditional ovolo styling on all planes, flush gaskets, a deep bottom rail and a 128mm frame that all ensure beautifully authentic aesthetics.

Despite the authentic looks, the window has everything homeowners would expect from a modern window and more. Reliable spiral balance mechanisms mean the window is easy to open and close, while the tilt inwards facility on both sashes makes them easy to clean. And a U-value as low as 1.3W/m2K and a WER of Band A+ means exceptional thermal efficiency too.

It’s also a practical option for installers – the 128mm outer frame matches box sash dimensions and there’s the option of a 150mm or 210mm cill. It’s Kitemarked to BS EN 12608, BBA approved, PAS 24 accredited is designed to achieve Secured by Design status so is Document Q compliant.

One of the latest customers to add the Spectus Mechanically Jointed Vertical Slider to its range is Garrard Windows. Lucy Griffith from the company commented: “It raises the bar in authenticity, especially when it comes to the foil options because the foils really showcase the mechanical joint. The window really is a match for the timber alternatives in terms of overall aesthetics. Manufacturing the Spectus Mechanically Jointed Vertical Slider will open up new opportunities for us and our customers because feature-rich mechanically jointed products are very much on trend.”

So if you’re looking to benefit from changing market trends and bring feature-rich products into your portfolio what better place to start than the Spectus Mechanically Jointed Vertical Slider? It’s a stunning product that builds on a product that’s always been the best-seller in the market. As many fabricators commented at its launch: the best just got better.
