The Sommer & Maca Machinery Division of C.R. Laurence Co., Inc. (CRL) has developed a simple solution for customers who want to run glass up to 100 inches tall on their VE1P Edgers.

John Czopek, Brand Manager of the Machinery Division, states, “Our new SOMACA/CRL Vertical Glass Extension Rack installs quickly and easily, and allows the edger to support glass up to 100 inches (2.5 m) tall. VE1P Edgers come equipped with five fixed rails as standard for 72" (1.8 m) tall glass. In response to customer requests, we developed this Kit that includes four vertical extensions, a roller rail, stand-offs, and mounting hardware.”

The Extension Rack can be retrofitted to newer VE1P Edgers that have Standoff glass racks. The extension is also available on new models of the VE1P, AU11, and EU11 Glass Edgers. To order the new VE1P with 100 inch (2.5 m) tall glass capacity, or to order the Extension Rack to retrofit an existing model, call the Sommer & Maca Machinery Division at (866) 583-1377 or CRL Customer Service at (800) 421-6144. From outside the United States and Canada, call (323) 588-1281. The Retrofit Extension Kit is Cat. No. 39922700.
