Saint-Gobain’s newly redeveloped Innovation Centre in London Docklands opened its doors to customers this month as the company hosted a series of sessions designed to provide architects, specifiers and contractors with the chance to view products and solutions from the company’s extensive range. Technical experts from a number of Saint-Gobain’s UK businesses, including British Gypsum, Weber, Saint-Gobain Glass and Saint-Gobain PAM, were on hand to answer product queries and the sessions also featured live demonstrations and mobile showrooms including the Weber Live demonstration of External Wall Insulation application, British Gypsum’s trailer, which combines dry wall systems with practical demonstrations, and the Solatruck from Saint-Gobain Glass. Saint-Gobain’s Innovation Centre has recently undergone a significant redevelopment to showcase some of the latest products launched, incorporating interactive displays to allow visitors to see how products work in everyday construction. Reflecting the increasing importance of sustainability within the construction industry a greater focus has been placed on displaying products and processes which help to achieve environmental standards such as the Code for Sustainable Homes. Shalini Patel, manager of the Innovation Centre, comments: “The open days provided customers with an opportunity to view the latest innovative products available from Saint-Gobain, highlighting the range of products available and showing how these can work together to provide sustainable solutions.” For further information or to book a visit to the Innovation Centre please call +44 (0)207 536 9120.
