Saint-Gobain Board of Directors decides to propose the renewal of the directorship of Pierre-André de Chalendar

In preparation for the next Shareholders' General Meeting, on June 5, 2014, and based on the recommendation of the Appointments, Compensation and Governance Committee 1 , the Compagnie de Saint-Gobain Board of Directors, meeting today, decided to propose the renewal of the directorship of Pierre-André de Chalendar for another four years.   If the Shareholders' General Meeting approves the renewal, the Board of Directors intends to reappoint Pierre-André de Chalendar as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Compagnie de Saint-Gobain.By this decision, the Board of Directors has renewed its trust in the ability of Pierre-André de Chalendar and the management team to lead the Group in the next stages of its development.

1 The Committee comprises four members, three of whom are independent directors, and is tasked with making recommendations to the Board of Directors whenever a directorship becomes vacant or is due to expire.
