Prium® E-Melt, electric furnaces

Electric Melting Technology - All-electric furnace systems and mixed-fuel Systems; operating cold top or semi-hot top offer an advanced technological solution to melting many different types of glass.

Offering energy efficiency, high-quality product and ease of operation, electric furnace systems require capital investment comparable or less then fuel fired alternative technologies and normally cheaper rebuild costs."390" height="266" alt="" src="/UserFiles/2(404).jpg" />

Electric melting technology can be applied to all glass types and especially specialist glasses including:

  • Lead glass
  • Borosilicate (heat resistance)
  • High-quality tableware and cosmetics
  • Pharmaceutical
  • Fibre glass

There is no technical limitation to furnace capacity.

Combining electric melting technology with fuel fired and oxy-fuel combustion can create highly flexible systems without loss of the advances of purely electric systems.
