PiGs AKA People in Glazing Society, and its sister publication, Modern Joinery News, has appointed Rachael Lewis in a newly created role to deliver the growth plans across both brands.

Rachael will be working alongside George and Sarah as Events and Content Coordinator for PiGs, and Content Coordinator for Modern Joinery News.

In her new role, Rachael will be responsible for the management of content and communications, while also helping to deliver PiGs’ busy programme of networking events across the UK.

A key part of her responsibilities will include maintaining and developing relationships with sponsors, partners, advertisers and industry stakeholders across both brands, becoming a direct link from the online media outlets to the UK glazing sector, and joinery and timber sectors.

Rachael will also take charge of the social media channels for both PiGs and Modern Joinery News, helping to increase engagement and ensure audiences remain informed about the latest industry news, events and initiatives, something the two brands have already seen success in.

Rachael said about her appointment: “I’m delighted to be joining PiGs and Modern Joinery News at such an exciting time for the brands.

“Being new to the industry, I’m hoping to bring fresh eyes to the role, using experiences from other industries to hopefully take the brands to even greater heights.

“What Sarah and George have done already makes me really excited to get started.”

Sarah Ball, PiGs Sty Master and Modern Joinery News Founder, added: “Delivering the PiGs events and STY News for the glazing sector is exciting, and George and I have so many ideas that we want to add to make it even better!

“Plus, with Modern Joinery News, we feel like we have more to give. Bringing Rachael into the team gives us the opportunity to deliver more.

“Join me in welcoming Rachael – you can meet her face to face as she will be with us at Bristol PiGs plus at the Women in Fenestration Development Day, both on 25 June.”

You can reach Rachael either by email: rachael@peopleinglazing.co.uk, or on LinkedIn: Rachael Lewis | LinkedIn
