PGT Inc. Shares Rise in Market Debut

Shares of PGT Inc. (PGTI.O: Quote, Profile, Research), which makes WinGuard residential impact-resistant windows and doors, rose more than 3 percent in their stock market debut Wednesday.

The shares were up 3.14 percent at $14.44 in late-morning trading on the Nasdaq, a day after pricing at a below-forecast $14.The about 8.8 million share offering was worth $123.5 million.PGT's products combine heavy-duty aluminum or vinyl frames with laminated glass to provide protection from hurricane-force winds and wind-borne debris.
