Peter Hinsen is Edgetech Europe’s new Sales and Marketing Director

Date: 3 March 2008

In January 2008, Peter Hinsen takes over the management of Edgetech Europe GmbH in Neuss as the new Sales and Marketing Director.

He has lengthy experience in the building trade and, in his previous position at a leading company supplying adhesives and sealants, was responsible for sales in various European market regions. Edgetech, where he will be continuing his predecessor’s successful work, will now have access to the sales experience and trade know-how he has acquired over the years.

“Intensive customer contacts are extremely important, and I shall be promoting them personally as a means of supporting our sales managers,” says Peter Hinsen. “In addition, Edgetech pursues a policy of cooperating closely with system partners, including manufacturers of machinery, and I intend to maintain and deepen these and other forms of cooperation as well.”

Competent market presence and customer proximity are factors that Peter Hinsen regards as very important; his activities will therefore be based on Edgetech’s existing sales network in Europe. For all concerned, the target is to strengthen and develop the company’s market position. Another ongoing task is to locate new market partners. The prospects are favourable, since Edgetech’s ‘Super Spacer’ complies with the latest energy saving regulations, and the ‘warm edge’ will be used increasingly for heat-insulating glass and in high-quality windows or glazed areas.

Peter Hinsen plans to retain most aspects of the current market strategy. He will be giving definite priority to expansion and further development of merchandising activities, which in turn are not possible without targeted marketing. “Being present at exhibitions all over Europe is an element in our marketing mix to which I attach great importance,” he says. “But we shall be moving ahead in new directions too, and it’s a source of great satisfaction for me to take on this new task in such a firmly established company.”
