Nya Nordiska and Glassolutions, Saint-Gobain receive iF gold award 2014 for Tex Glass®

Date: 3 April 2014

Nya Nordiska has been awarded for its innovative product Tex Glass® with one of the prestigious iF gold awards 2014.

The product was awarded in the category product design as one of the 75 best contributions.  The festive award ceremony took place during the iF design awards night in the BMW World in Munich on 28 February 2014. Remo Röntgen, Managing Director for Marketing and Sales at Nya Nordiska, received the golden iF sculpture: “The iF gold award is very much coveted. It honours the innovative spirit of Nya Nordiska – here manifested in the symbiosis of fabric and glass. We are proud to have been awarded among brands such as Apple, Mercedes and Sony.”

Among the 4,615 products that were submitted, Tex Glass® convinced the international jury with its exciting new interpretation of fabrics and glass. One of the jury members explained: “Tex Glass® is a decorative laminated glass collection with integrated textile fabric: an excellent concept to give rooms their very individual character. What convinced us about this concept was the fact that textile staging of rooms is provided with completely new options and that the product can be used in the most versatile way”.
