New crusher is sheer glass for Yorwaste firm

Yorkshire company Yorwaste is hailing the success of a trial aimed at diverting more waste from landfill and conserving valuable natural resources.

Over the past few weeks, the company has been using a specialist aggregate crusher to crush glass at its Resource Recovery Centre in Seamer Carr, Scarborough.Around 5,000 tonnes of glass has been crushed, producing a recycled alternative to virgin quarried sand.Read more:
