During the exhibition Vitrum 2015, the Family Bavelloni, owner of Neptun Srl, celebrated some major achievements in 2015.

The event, which was held Thursday, October 8 at 16.45, was attended by part of the staff, customers and the international sales network of the company, as well as by all the members of the family Bavelloni currently active in the company.

The first award was granted to Neptun’s agent of the Philippines, Janco Impex, for obtaining a significant number of sales in a few months from the beginning of the collaboration with Neptun. FG Trading, South Africa, has received an award for the sale with the highest economic value in a single contract. A special award was recognized to the distributor Matodi USA for having sold more than 100 machines in less than four years. The most important recognition went instead to the Australian agent Overseas Glass Agencies, which sold the 500th machine produced by Neptun. This machine, a straight-line edger Rock 11, was purchased by the well-known company Australian Glass Group, along with another Rock 11 and a washing machine LV Top 2600.

These are important numbers, which perfectly illustrate the sustained growth of the company of the Bavelloni Family. Founded in 2008 with a product range consisting solely of horizontal and vertical washing machines, it has expanded its offerings in a few years to include, since the end of 2011, also straight-line edgers, mitering machines and CNC vertical centers. It thus can be said that this milestone was reached in less than 5 years of full operation.

The approval levied by the machines on display at the fair in Milan this year confirms that this is the right way: innovation based on proven technologies, targeted to meet the actual needs of the glass market today, a well-balanced combination between costs and performance.

Neptun at Vitrum

Neptun SRL, a Bavelloni Family Company, has participated at this years’ Vitrum, with a booth arrangement in appreciation of EXPO 2105 Milano. The artistic graphics and ‘street art’ arrangements of our machines, highlight the strengths of each version.

Visitors could see two production lines on display: our feature model, Rock 14-45, which represents our heritage combined with modern development in straight line edging machines and the second generation of the vertical CNC working centres Quickline Series, with drilling, milling and washing.

QUICKLINE

Quickline is composed of two units for processing, shower screens, glass doors, glass partitioning, balustrades, and glass splash backs. The first in the line is the Quickdrill, for drilling holes and countersinking. The Quickmill is the second machine, for executing notches, hinge cut outs, and internal portholes. Both machines will work over the entire surface area, with unmatched speed and accuracy. The Open Top structure allows ‘oversized’ glass to be processed.

The Quickline Series is intended to benefit the market sector where a traditional horizontal CNC is both unnecessary and overly expensive, yet precision, speed and accuracy are paramount. Each machine in the line can run independently, or in conjunction for maximum productivity. Clever computing through Quickflow, means information can be separated for independent operation, or combined to run sequentially.

While our first series of Quickline was successful, the latest generation has proved even more effective with the implementation of new hardware and software, allowing integration into you own company processes.

By connecting to data from ‘in house’ ERP systems, the client can maximize the huge production potential. For example a typical glass door can be processed (drilled, notched, and milled) in as little as 3½ minutes. The modest investment easily returns the lowest cost per notch.

Even with minor integration and programming on board the machine, the latest Quickline now offers many advantages, due mainly to the flexible and easily customized programming system. This is especially suited to manufacturing parametric doors. Quickmill and Quickdrill have also been upgraded to incorporate a remote assistance system. This not only allows ‘off site’ diagnosis and problem solving, but also enables software and program updates, even without the use of a local dedicated PC.

The Quickline Series is an extremely well manufactured machine. All axes are driven by brushless motors, while some of the components have been made lighter with the use of aluminum. External guards are a brushed stainless steel finish as standard.

ROCK 14-45

Rock 14-45 is our latest model of mitering machines with 14 wheels. It can process a flat and arrissed edge, and a chamfer up to 45°, at the same time. Thick glass and heavy duty processing is easily achieved in the quickest time. Polishing can be executed with liquid cerium for the best possible finish.

Highlighted Main Features:

• Automatic tool adjustment. Adaptable for all processing types without adjustment.

• Automatic glass removal adjustment. This is managed through the machine control panel.

• Double speed polishing spindle. According to specification, different types of polishing wheels can be used up to 2800rpm.

• Capable of heavy loads. Glass up to 300kg per linear metre can be processed.

Rock 14-45 is the same as our complete Rock Series, and is manufactured from heavy duty cast iron, to guarantee the elimination of all vibrations. This structure also allows high speed processing and low production noise levels, all with the highest quality finish.

Additionally, each spindle is contained in its own cast iron housing, and connected to the motor by a belt and pulley, reducing any vibration at the glass to a minimum.

Our patented conveyor pads are made from a double Kevlar material, ensuring millions of linear metres of processing.

Finally, we draw your attention to our patented ETS system. Edge To Shape (or Square) not only allows glass to be automatically squared to 90°, but it allows accurate shaping and sizing to set dimensions. This ETS method of managing shape and size is comparable to the traditional horizontal CNC. Like all Neptun equipment, Rock 14-45 is equipped with a powerful PLC Touch Screen. This enables automatic management of all functions, gives production statistics, and advises a chronological order for planned maintenance.

Simply brilliant!

LV TOP 1642-20P

Our booth at Vitrum was completed by showing off the LV Top vertical washing machine. This model represents the most sold entry level washer in the world, especially in markets that are sensitive to good quality. In fact, it combines simplicity with reliability, advanced technical solutions and the highest quality construction and components.

Other Machines Available:

During the exhibition, we arranged to take customers on a ‘tour’ of our factory in Rovello Porro. Here we showed them:

• Horizontal Washer Tornado 2664

• Other Vertical Washers,

• Vertical CNC Centre Promax

• Vertical CNC Centre Drillmax

• Straight Line Edger Rock 11

All of these machines were demonstrated working in our factory. Visitors have seen the high quality finished products, our robust construction methods, and the highest standard of components used in manufacturing by Neptun SRL.
