Following its recent purchase of Linel, Mestek announced it is forming a new group of companies under the umbrella Mestek Architectural.

Included in this group are Linel, Colt International and American Warming & Ventilating. The emphasis for this new group is in providing products and solutions that enhance the performance of building envelopes.

Linel’s principal activities involve custom skylights and architectural solutions, including custom curtain walls, canopies, wall-­cladding, rain screens and point-supported structures. AWV’s principal activities include louvers and fixed sunshades. Colt’s principle activities include operable sunshades and natural ventilation products.

As part of this new organization, Mestek announced that Francis O’Neill has joined the company as national sales manager for Mestek Architectural. O'Neill previously held senior positions with Architectural Skylight Co., and most recently, with Ipswich Bay Glass Co. Reporting to Francis in this new role are two regional sales engineers, Mike Allen and Fraser Campbell. Francis and his staff will work with architects and owners, and provide technical support in the application of Linel, AWV and Colt products.

Mestek officials announced that Joe Schultheis has joined Linel as major project sales manager. Prior to this appointment, Schultheis held senior positions at Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope.
