Lee’s passion and dedication have been instrumental in shaping Walker into North America’s leading provider of acid-etched glass and premium-quality mirror.
Lee began his career at Walker in 1974 on the factory floor and worked his way up through the company. In the mid-1980s, he took the helm and guided Walker through 4 decades of transformation, evolving from a mirror manufacturer to the first North American producer of acid-etched glass and mirror. His leadership and vision, together with that of his 40-year partner, Ross Christie, laid the foundation for the company’s growth and reputation in the architectural glass industry.
Beyond his role at Walker, Lee has also made a lasting mark on the glass industry as a whole. He has served as board member and President of the Quebec Flat Glass Association, the National Association of Mirror Manufacturers and the Glass Association of North America (now NGA), playing a key role in advancing and protecting the interests of the glass and mirror industries across North America.
“The moment has come for me to step down as President,” explained Mr. Harrison. “I have truly loved this role and the privilege of working alongside all the remarkable members of the Walker family. There is never a perfect moment to retire, but I believe now is the right time, both for me and for Walker, given the very strong leadership team that we have in place.”
He continued, “I, together with the Board, have asked Randy Brooks, CEO of our sister company Gardner Glass Products, to take on the role of President and CEO of our combined organization, a responsibility he has graciously accepted. Randy brings not only a wealth of experience and knowledge of our business and our industry, but also a leadership philosophy that mirrors Walker’s own, one rooted in collaboration, trust, and a true sense of family. I cannot think of a better person to lead us into this next chapter.”
Mr. Harrison will stay on with Walker through to the end of 2025 to facilitate the transition, after which he will remain an active member of Walker’s board of directors.
“It has been a great privilege to know Lee over the years. What he has accomplished with Walker Glass over the past four decades is truly remarkable. Over the past year, we’ve spent a great deal of time together and discovered that we share and guide our organizations by the same values, which I consider to be the cornerstone for future growth and prosperity of the organization,” said Randy Brooks. “I’m excited for this next chapter in our shared journey. I’m equally fortunate to be surrounded by such an experienced and competent management team across our combined organization who share the same passion and dedication that drive me every day.”
