The GGF Group has confirmed that Group CEO, John Agnew, will retire on September 15, 2025.

Leadership continuity will be provided by the GGF Group Board and Executive Management Group (EMG) while the process of appointing a new CEO is carried out. This approach will ensure stability as the Group continues to move forward with its long-term strategy.

John Agnew has served the GGF Group with dedication and commitment for over six years, guiding the organisation through significant phases of growth and transformation. His leadership at the Group builds on a career of more than 40 years in the glazing industry, including senior managerial and directorial roles at Toughglass Ltd and Independent Glass Ltd.

His contribution to both the GGF Group and the wider industry has been described as exceptional, leaving an enduring legacy of service and leadership. The Group has expressed its sincere thanks and appreciation to John for his passion and commitment over the years, noting that he will be greatly missed.

Reflecting on his tenure, John Agnew said:

Working alongside so many dedicated colleagues, Members and partners has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. I am very proud of what we have achieved together and the role the Group continues to play in supporting and advancing the glazing industry. As I step back, I do so with full confidence in the Board, the EMG, and the talented people across the Group to carry forward our strategy and build on this strong foundation.”
