JELD-WEN Names Mark A. Beck President and Chief Executive Officer

JELD-WEN, Inc. announced on Nov. 23, 2015 the appointment of Mark A. Beck as the company's President and Chief Executive Officer effective November 30, 2015.

Kirk Hachigian, who is currently in these roles, will continue as an active member of JELD-WEN's leadership team as Executive Chairman of the Board.Mr. Hachigian and Mr. Beck will work closely together into the new year to facilitate a smooth management transition.

Mr. Beck joins JELD-WEN from Danaher Corporation, where he has been Executive Vice President of the Water Quality and Dental Platforms since early 2014. Previously, Mr. Beck spent 18 years with Corning Incorporated in a series of management positions with increasing responsibility, including his most recent appointment as Executive Vice President of Corning's Environmental Technologies & Life Science units. Earlier in his career, Mr. Beck spent eight years in the residential construction industry. He holds an undergraduate degree in Business Management from Pacific University and a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard University.

Over the last year Mr. Hachigian has been focused on building a strong organization at JELD-WEN. As President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Beck joins several other executives who have recently been appointed to global leadership roles, including John Dinger, Executive Vice President and President-North America; Peter Maxwell, Executive Vice President and President-Europe; and Peter Farmakis, Executive Vice President and President Australia-Asia.
