Guardian Building Products Announces Opening of Distribution Center in Tennessee

The new location, with an approximate 200-mile service radius, servescustomers as far north as Louisville, Kentucky, as far east as Knoxville, Tennessee, and south to Birmingham, Alabama.



Other highlights include:

• The use of energy-efficient lighting to reduce the facility’s environmental impact.




• A new racking system that will better utilize vertical space and improve organization.




• A newly renovated office area.

The Guardian Building Products management and real estate teams took great care in researchof a new facility to enhance its current geographic footprint in the southeast. Customer deliveryneeds and proximity to current and potential customers were key factors.

“The new facility also allows us to increase our product depth and breadth for our growingcustomer base,” said McDougal. “Relocating to Nashville will ensure we are in a position toefficiently service our customers up to two times per week.”

Products available through the Nashville distribution center include roofing products andaccessories, insulation products, gypsum products, siding products, decking products, andmillwork products. Top stocked brands include: Atlas Roofing, CertainTeed roofing, GAF,TAMKO Building Products, Lomanco, Tarco, Knauf Insulation, Lapolla spray foam insulation,National Gypsum, USG, American Gypsum, CertainTeed siding, Fiberon decking, and more.

The new facility has 15 employees including, warehouse workers, inside sales people, outsidesales people and management, and is the consolidation of two nearby locations.
