Glass Museum Offers Summer Fun

Doc Possum entertained hundreds of children and their families Wednesday on the first day of the Little Gather Storytelling series at Corning Museum of Glass.The Little Gather series starts at 11 a.m.

Wednesdays and continues through Aug. 30 with a different performer each week. Shows for large groups start at 10 a.m., and advance registration is required for big groups. For more information, call Kristy Bartenstein at 607/974-3306.

Another children's series at the museum, the interactive Vitreous Adventures series, runs from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesdays from July 19 through Aug. 16. At the July 19 debut, children will learn how to become storytellers.
