Gerresheimer will be exhibiting new developments in primary packaging products for the US pharma and biotech industry at Interphex in New York from March 29 to 31.

This is the first year that Gerresheimer is showcasing its innovative plastic products for the American market at the Interphex exhibition and conference, a forum for pharmaceutical products, technology, trends and production processes.

Two of the flagship innovations are the new multilayer plastic parenteral vials and the new Duma® Twist-Off Closures with US seal. The closures have the necessary foil seal for the US market, so it is possible use the same tablet containers with the same closures in Europe and America.

Interphex visitors can find information about Gerresheimer’s compre- hensive portfolio of tubular glass, moulded glass and plastic packaging products at stand 2044. The company’s innovative product range extends from ampoules, vials, special cartridges and syringe systems made of borosilicate tubular glass to ready-to-fill RTF® syringes. Gerresheimer experts will also be at the stand to provide competent advice.

“Close cooperation with our partners is a very important aspect of our business strategy. We have sites in all our key markets – a total of seven in the USA – so that we can respond promptly and efficiently to customer needs and requirements,” said Michael Fischer, Vice- President Sales Tubular Glass at Gerresheimer Glass in Vineland, New Jersey, which is the Gerresheimer Group’s largest plant in the USA.

Moulded glass pharmaceutical bottles and jars which can be produced in all suitable glass types will also be on display at Gerresheimer’s stand. The product portfolio is rounded off by a diverse range of plastic packaging products for tablets, granulates and powder, plus packaging and application solutions for liquid and paste medications such as eye drops, nose spray, syrup, gels and lotions.
