CPFilms has been active in the research, development and production of protective films for almost 50 years.

High-quality products for the automotive and architectural glass industries have gained CPFilms an excellent reputation: the LLumar brand represents the very highest standards, with the finest materials and strict quality controls used in its processing.In order to combine its European and global market activities, including all sales subsidiaries, and demonstrate its leading position in the premium market segment for special-purpose films, CPFilms will in future apply the Llumar trade name to the products it sells in all fields. Richard Kirchner, Sales Director of CPFilms UK, will strengthen LLumar’s market penetration still further in the recently developed business areas of – architectural glass, anti-graffiti films and security films – and also consolidate its leading position in the automotive segment.

The LLumar logo has been thoroughly revised, with new, modern lettering accompanied by a stylised sun. The new claim ‘Upgrade your glass’ is a clear indication of what Llumar has to offer. An American company with a long tradition, it is well established in both the automobile and sheet glass sectors of the market and, with its retro-finishing of glass surfaces, achieves a genuine increase in functional value as well as enhancing. CPFilms is a world leader in the field of protective films for interior and outdoor applications. It currently supplies the worlds biggest range of heat-reflecting, solar, safety, decorative and anti-graffiti films with scratch resistant surfaces and UV protection. The films are available in various thicknesses, colours and degrees of UV protection. The CPFilms product range is very extensive. The company is divided into four business divisions:

The initial material, originally a product of space-travel research, is a micro-thin, extremely clear, highly stable polyester (PET) film. Using patented technology, it is dyed in depth and/or impregnated, after which it is given a scratchproof coating and coated with an acrylic resin adhesive.

With a total workforce of approximately 800, three production locations and 12 international sales subsidiaries, CPFilms Inc. has a turnover of some 200 million US dollars.
