Edgetech Gets Results at Glasstec 2012

Date: 5 December 2012

Edgetech GmbH is delighted to report a successful four days at Glasstec with huge interest in the warm edge technology supplier’s extended range of products.

Andy Jones, Managing Director of Edgetech in Europe comments: “Following our 2011 acquisition by building products giant Quanex, we wanted to use Glasstec as our first major glass exhibition opportunity to showcase the whole range of warm edge technology solutions we now offer, including Super Spacer®, TrisealTM, DurasealTM and DuraliteTM. “The interest and buzz at the show was tangible as visitors to our stand were focused on energy efficient performance and cost effective warm edge technology IGU production with our single, dual and triple seal spacers.

Glasstec really is the jewel in the crown of the glass industry a show that always underpins Edgetech’s commitment to the European market as a global player. I honestly would say this year was bigger and better for visitors and exhibitors alike, and the quality of leads we got from across the globe was fantastic – in fact, just under 300 taken during the show.

The talk of the show was all about productivity efficiencies and working with partners who understand how to take cost out of the manufacturing process whether manual, semi or fully automated. Visitors to the show were also looking for proven solutions and seeking confidence that when switching to what some see as new technologies, it’s to the right partner with years of experience and time proven in the field.

With Quanex companies forecast to manufacture in excess of 300 million metres of spacer products in 2013, across nearly 100 countries, this is a bill Edgetech fits perfectly.”
