Edgetech in G12 Finals Triple Whammy

Date: 6 December 2012

Edgetech, a Quanex company, has made it to the finals in no less than three categories of the prestigious G12 Awards.

The leading warm edge technology manufacturer has been shortlisted for Component Supplier of the Year, Health and Safety Initiative and Trade Promotional Campaign.

Andy Jones, Managing Director of Edgetech comments: “To reach the finals of one category in the G12s would have been great, but to be in three shortlists is a fantastic endorsement of the work we’ve doing over the last year. Our business and marketing support is comparable to that offered by systems companies, yet we still only manufacture and supply one of the smallest components in a window, the spacer.

“Our approach has always been unique, but the last 12 months in particular have seen us looking inwards to see how we can improve internal systems to ensure customers continue to get the best value for money; and outwards, with a comprehensive marketing and educational campaign. I’m particularly proud though to reach the Health and Safety finals, which will provide a big thank-you to the team here who’ve worked so hard to help Edgetech embrace the ‘Raising the Bar on Safety’ initiative to drive World Class safety performance at our Coventry site. Through commitment from the management team, investment in awareness and training across all our operations, and reinforcement of the prioritisation of safety first and foremost in all daily activities, we’ve driven numerous improvements, resulting in our exceeding 100,000 working hours without a single health and safety incident. We’re looking forward to the ceremony itself next month.”
