CRH PLC will take a breather from large-scale acquisitions after the Irish construction group completes the $1.3 billion purchase of U.S. glazing products company C.R.

Laurence Co., CRH Chief Executive Albert Manifold said Thursday.  

The Dublin-based company’s acquisition of C.R. Laurence Co. comes on the heels of its purchase of cement assets in Europe, Canada and elsewhere in a €6.5 billion deal with Lafarge SA and Holcim Ltd.
