Creative glass surfaces from Glassolutions at Surface Design Show

Date: 24 December 2012

Innovative products which are transforming the way we think about the use of glass for surface applications within commercial buildings will be showcased by Saint-Gobain Group company GLASSOLUTIONS at the Surface Design Show (5 to 7 February 2013).

Its exciting range of creative glass options including coloured, textured and fabric interlayered products will be on display on stand 413.An interactive Interior Glass Tool will also be available for visitors to see how different types of glass can be used in a variety of office, hotel and retail environments, in a range of applications including wall cladding, partitioning, feature glazing, furniture, doors and floors.

Products include TEX GLASS® a laminated glass product with beautiful fabrics encapsulated inside. TEX GLASS was a finalist in the coveted ‘Product of the Year’ category in the 2012 FX International Interior Design Awards. The wide range of fabrics has been carefully chosen from the award winning Nya Nordiska collection. Used to create dramatic features in interior applications, TEX GLASS is used in partitions, screens, doors, and furniture. When combined with either a back-painted glass or mirrored glass for cladding applications, the effect is stunning.

VITRIO® is a supremely versatile glass that is back-painted, either as a single colour, with sparkle finishes, or with customised designs. It is ideal for a range of applications from wall cladding to signage, worktops and splash-backs. Back-painted glass from GLASSOLUTIONS features in many high end commercial interiors, including washrooms within The Shard and 199 Bishopsgate, London.

GLASSOLUTIONS is the UK’s largest processor, distributor, installer and repairer of glass and glass systems. It has a turnover in excess of £110 million and employs around 1,100 people.
