C.R. Laurence Introduces Two All-New Sliding Rear Windows for GM’s New 2014 1500 Series Truck

Date: 25 October 2013

C.R. Laurence, the leading manufacturer and supplier of innovative automotive glass solutions, will be debuting state-of-the-art replacement sliders for the new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 Series at the 2013 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, NV (Nov. 5-8).

The new Electric POWR-Slider and Manual Tri-Vent Slider mark another exciting first for C.R. Laurence and the automotive glass industry.

For over 40 years, C.R. Laurence has been a leader in manufacturing quality advanced performance sliders for domestic and import trucks. The brand’s revolutionary bonded rear slider for GM’s C/K truck debuted over 20 years ago, and since then CRL has continued to manufacture cutting-edge automotive glass products with ultimate precision in the U.S.A.

Now, C.R. Laurence is continuing to lead the way by introducing the very first sliding rear window exclusively for GM’s new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 Series truck. “Consistent with every other facet of the automotive industry, truck owners want advanced performance, detailed style, and options. Our new sliders are no exception,” says Lloyd Talbert, President of C.R. Laurence. “We put our years of manufacturing and quality control experience into delivering the first and only viable rear window upgrade options for GM’s newest truck offerings. This achievement represents a milestone in CRL’s uncompromising commitment to industry leadership.”

These premium glass sliders are the result of C.R. Laurence’s sharp attention to detail, expert craftsmanship, and proven commitment to quality products and materials.

The Electric POWR-Slider delivers ultimate form and function through C.R. Laurence’s Encapsulated Flex Flange technology that gives the truck the largest daylight opening offered in the market. Push the convenient dash-mounted button to quietly open, close, and automatically lock the curved glass window with ease. This feature eliminates fumbling with latches, thus making it more user-friendly with extended-cab trucks. The POWR-Slider distinguishes itself as the only electrically-operated direct upgrade option for GM’s 2014 truck.

The Manual Tri-Vent Slider also operates quietly, is easy to open and close, and installs without any modifications. Its 3-panel design offers increased visibility from top to bottom thanks to its slim-line aluminum frame. C.R. Laurence’s direct replacement manual slider surpasses the quality and performance of most factory-installed rear windows, which customers have come to expect from CRL.

Both the Electric POWR-Slider and Manual Tri-Vent Slider are made with deluxe solar privacy glass that’s designed to keep the truck’s interior cooler, protect the upholstery from harmful UV rays, and above all, enhance the style and comfort of the new 1500 Series.

The all-new truck sliders will debut at the 2013 SEMA Show, November 5-8, in Las Vegas, NV. Visit CRL at booth 33017.
