Architectural ironmonger BJ Waller is first to stock Stonebridge’s new Armor-Coat™ Grade 5 certified range, as an official trade partner of Stonebridge and Finesse.

The new range includes hand forged window and door handles, in traditional Flat Black and Satin Steel after being salt spray tested for 480 hours offering the best in industry for weather protection.

Luke Piper, Managing Director at BJ Waller, says: “Being an official trade partner of Stonebridge, we’re really pleased to offer the new Armor-Coat™ range. We’ve already found Stonebridge to be a very popular choice for joinery companies looking to add individual designs to their timber windows and doors. Grade 5 certification will allow our customers to attract even more architects and end-users.

People are attracted to the forged steel handles as they promise unrivalled traditional style, and the Armor-Coat™ Flat Black and Satin Steel finishes add to the sophisticated appeal.”

The Grade 5 BS EN 1670:2007 certification was achieved through an independent neutral salt spray test, with the results showing ‘exceptionally high corrosion resistance and suited to service indoors and outdoors in exceptionally severe conditions where long-term protection is required.’

In addition to the impressive corrosion resistance, the Armor-Coat™ handles are highly UV rated and resistant, to protect fading from sunlight or harsh weather.

Luke continues: “Offering our customers the Grade 5 certification is really important to us, as we know we can back up the claims that the range will look as good as new for longer, so you can ‘fit and forget’ without worrying about unexpected call backs.”

The Armor-Coat™ Stonebridge range is made in Durham, and modern design methods are combined with hand finished process to give the handles an authentic finish.
