Beatson Clark Still Growing Its Sales Team

Date: 20 July 2015

Glass manufacturer Beatson Clark has recruited another Business Development Manager to support the company’s steady growth.

Alison Hughes has joined the South Yorkshire glass specialists from SONE Products in County Durham, where she was Business Development Executive.Alison has 15 years’ experience of packaging sales at firms such as Esterform Packaging, Roma International and Johnsen & Jorgensen. She is now covering the south of England and Wales for Beatson Clark, targeting new clients – especially in the brewing sector – and also handling some of the company’s existing client accounts.“Beatson Clark is very well known in the marketplace as a well established and professional company, so when this opportunity came up it was something that I didn’t want to miss,” said Alison.“I‘m focusing on the craft brewing market because it’s a sector that’s showing enormous growth at present. The breweries I’ve spoken to so far have been surprised to find they can have customised beer bottles at such low volumes and outlay, so the sector is proving to be a perfect fit for Beatson Clark’s small production runs and flexible approach. .

Alison says the response from potential customers to what Beatson Clark has to offer has been extremely positive so far.

“We are also looking at added value opportunities for our customers by offering the complete package including labelling, printing and capping etc. For example, we source the sleeve for our Gaviscon bottles so it is delivered directly to the customer ready to fill.

“Our full-service approach means we save our customers time, money and work as they only have to deal with one company for all their packaging requirements.”
