Despite the general downturn in the aftermath of 11 September, with attendance at international trade exhibitions dropping by an average of 22%, Batimat, buoyed by its global leadership and the loyalty of the entire construction industry, recorded a fall of only 9% compared with 1999. 456.820 visitors came to the show at Paris Expo at Porte de Versailles between 5 and 10 November.

The initial impression, shared by the exhibitors, reveals a high caliber of visitors, while the many innovations presented in the various special areas of the exhibition confirmed Batimat’s vocation as a showcase for construction technology, thus meeting the true needs of the building industry.
