Ardagh Group Receives Gold Recognition Environmental Award

Ardagh Group is pleased to announce that it has received an EcoVadis Gold Level Certification for 2015.

EcoVadis is an independent rating agency that operates the first collaborative platform that allows companies to assess the environmental and social performance of their suppliers on a global basis. By combining technology and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) expertise, EcoVadis assesses companies to deliver scores out of 100 based on the areas of Environment, Labour Practices, Fair Business Practices and Sustainable Procurement.Over 150 purchasing categories, 110 countries and 21 CSR indicators are considered.

Ardagh Group overall achieved an impressive score of 62 out of 100, which meant the company was awarded Gold Level Recognition. This places the Group among the top 12 per cent of all suppliers that are assessed by EcoVadis. Since the first rating four years ago, Ardagh Group have improved scores year on year from 35 in 2011, 40 in 2013, 48 last year and then the achievement of 62 this year.
