Program of the 3rd International Glass Festival 2009 Luxembourg

The highlight of this year:



The invitation of students from different glass academies, who will present their work and expertise.



Recycled Glass Project: Glass blowing – from empty bottle to Design.



Opening: The Opening (Vernissage) of the festival will be held on Friday, 28th August

-Speeches by the official guests, organizers and artists.

-The presentation of the catalog in the presence of artists.

-The honor wine offered by the commune of Wincrange

-A night demonstration of glass casting and blowingst 2009 at 7pm Exposition of glass art objects.



Site: Atelier d’art du Verre

- Asselborn Moulin d’Asselborn. Photo exposition "MITM (man-in-the-middle)" Information’s of glass- academies in Europe.

- Workshop for children and adults: Fusing (thermoformage du verre), glass beads, mosaic, tiffany, recycled glass and pate de verre.



- Saturday, 29th August 10am – 5pm

- Sunday, 30th August 10am – 5pm



- Artists in Action: Demonstrations in glass blowing, casting, fusing, slumping, painting, engraving, cutting, grinding, polishing, glass beads, mosaics, pate de Verre, stained glass and restoring of stained glass.

- Conferences and video and slide shows of glass work during the Festival.
