i think the post was speaking of photochromic which changes with uv lighting, you mentioned
Polytron supply Polyvision Switchable Glass(also named PDLC glass or magic glass) which are electrochromic. the diffrence i have read about electrochromic turns to a fog gray that you really cant see through, which isnt good for driving, what i think strauss8 was looking for is the photochromic that is like the glasses people ware that just change from a clear glass to a tinted glass the more uv the darker the glass (or plastic) i have been reading and i havnt found anything yet on where you can buy a film or even windows that you can put into your car to make it photochromic. but if you are looking for the electrochrmic there making a film for that, just apply a low electric pulse and you cant see anything. there is also liquid crystle but i havnt really looked into that much yet.
