How to improve fragmentation

Hello... Need help on how to improve low fragmentation count on tempered glass.. I am new in the glass manufacturing. your inputs are highly appreciated. Thanks

Two ways to go:
1.Assuming the glass is hot enough simply increase the air pressure in the quench boxes to increase the rate of cooling.
2.If you then experience high breakage in the quench it is because the glass is not hot enough so reduce the line-speed to increase the time in the heater. Be aware that the optical quality of the glass will reduce as the exit temperature of the glass increases. (Viscosity of glass halves for every 9 degrees C increase in temperature).

Thanks Jonathan for the inputs...Is it possible to get the temperature profile of the tempering line? I think getting the temp profile will be better for temperature control on the glass..

Yes, you can monitor the temperature profile of the glass. Raytek (raytek.com) is one of the companies you can work with.
