Pyrilitic Glass

For one of our construction projects it has been specified to Pyrolitic Glass for a curved facade. I wish to know if it is possible to provide the same without using facetted (segmented) pyrolitic glass.
Thanks

Yes, pyrolitic (hard) coated glass can be bent and tempered (or bent and laminated). You simply ask the glass processor for the type of pyrolitic coated glass that you require.

It can be bent to deformation up to 10%.

See here for details http://www.magnetron.ru/eng/products/coating-machines.htm

Pyrolitic coated glass can be bent just like ordinary glass, some glass fabricator with state-of-the-art machinery can bend glass to a maximum size of 2.4 X 4.2m with a minimum bending radius of 1.5m and a maximum bending angle of a quarter of a circle. However, you should consider and avoid severly small bent radius or sharp radius, as this will have an adverse effect to the coating, which appear like crack patterns on the glass surface. Besides pyrolitic glass, some soft coated glass with special protective layer in the stack, can be post heat treated or bent. But you have to fabricate it into an IG unit, to avoid damaging the coating.
