Exterior Sliding Glass Doors

I am building a new home and would like the back wall of the house to be sliding glass doors. The opening is 17 feet wide and 8 feet high. I am thinking of either a telescoping or side stacking track (like a storefront). The doors need to be insulated and weatherproofed for winter (moderate snowfall where I live in Canada). So far, the only company I can find that makes these is Nana Wall Systems. Very expensive and long lead time as they are made in Germany and then shipped to North America. I have been researching this for 3 months so any suggestions would be much appreciated!

I work for Häfele UK who provide a wide range of sliding, folding and slide stack systems.
I would suggest contacting Häfele Canada, via the website http://www.hafeleonline.com/canada.

Gary - Thanks for your reply. I checked the website and do not see any exterior applications. Can you recommend a specific product number that is suitable for winter use? Thanks!

We have used either the Hawa Variotec 150/H or
Hawa Shopfront 400/H depending on the weight of the doors for external applications. It may be better to
contact Hafele Canada direct on
