Can anybody advise me of the latest developments in coatings or ceramics designed to resist vandalism scratching to toughened glasses?

I am looking for some feedback between aluminium and silver mirror. is there any difference in quality .bangladesh is manufacturing float glass and they produce aluminium coated mirrors. i cannot see any diffrence really?
