YKK AP America Targets Rocky Mountain Region as Next Area of Growth

Date: 26 May 2014

YKK AP America will call the Rocky Mountain region home as the manufacturer establishes a sales territory that will cover Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming.

The expansion is part of YKK AP’s strategic plan to increase its services throughout the western part of the United States.

“As YKK AP continues to grow its presence nationally, we placed an extra emphasis on specific markets in the western United States,” said Oliver Stepe, senior vice president, YKK AP America. “By pinpointing key locations, like the Rocky Mountain region, and assigning a dedicated manager to cater to the area, we’ll be able to better support and service our customers in these important local markets.”

Based in Denver, Colo., the territory will fall under the Dallas Branch and be serviced by the new Texas Manufacturing Center in Copell, Texas, which will open this July.

YKK AP assigned senior account manager Troy Hein to cover the Rocky Mountain territory starting in late June. Hein, who has worked for YKK AP for over 12 years, will transfer from his current role in the Orlando office to focus on developing the new region.
