Visteon Corporation (NYSE: VC) is applying its vehicle, systems and integration expertise in delivering the full cockpit system for the Nissan Titan, Pathfinder Armada and Quest.

In addition, Visteon is the climate control systems integrator.


The components included in the cockpit modules are the instrument cluster, instrument panel, steering column, multimedia head-unit, wiring harness, console and HVAC module. Visteon supplies and integrates the complex components included in the cockpit module to ensure the highest quality, while helping to reduce weight and cost. The Quest and Pathfinder Armada use a negative thermoformed instrument panel while the Titan will feature a mold-in- color panel with an integrated airbag.

As the climate control systems integrator, Visteon is responsible for optimizing the performance of the overall climate control system. Visteon is responsible for the overall climate system including the testing and development necessary to achieve maximum performance.

Visteon established a joint venture with Lextron to construct a Regional Assembly Plant in Canton, Mississippi to support this new business. The Lextron-Visteon assembly facility is located within 100 yards of the Nissan trim plant, and through In-Line Vehicle Sequencing (ILVS), the facility will work hand-in-hand with Nissan. ILVS allows for just-in-time production with the ability to build the cockpit modules on demand in about 90 minutes. This process demonstrates Visteon's commitment to customer needs, reducing inventory, increasing flexibility and saving time and money.
